So a Court battle commences today with these people. I have never had such awful service as i have received from these characters.
I purchased a Ford Mondeo 57 plate which i paid over £7k for, it was described as (in front of witnesses) being owned by the director of Fords used car sales, has had no expense spared and is a low mileage one owner vehicle. The car has had 25 visits to the garage in little over 16 months. I have never come across such sheer incompetence in my life.
The car was handed to me with the Air Con not working, this despite a 90 point PDI which was supposed to check….. yes, the AIR CON
The car had just been MOT’d yet on delivery the car had wiper blades which were so perished that they left the drivers field of vision obscured…………the sales mans reply when challenged about this………ITS NOT AN MOT FAILURE…….on his planet maybe but according to VOSA they say it is a fail and should have failed yet my car didnt even get an advisory!!
The car had a fault with the gear cables, so i took it back as it was making a horrid noise like nails on a chalkboard, the chap who looked at the car diagnosed knackered gear cables yet was instructed im told that rather than remove the cables and replace them which coincidently was the only real fix, he had to spray them with white grease to stop the noise. When asked if this was a permanent fix the reply was no it will work for about 2 weeks!!
When the car was in Fords care to look after the carpet, which was hanging down in the footwell over the footpedals, they succeeded in not only failing to fix the carpet, but also managed to smack the mirror on my car thus needing a respray
On one occasion when the car was in for repairs to the parking sensors, Hendys managed to rewire my hands free so that it was always live!!! no idea why they even touched the hands free but there we go
one further mind-boggling incident, when the car was back for more work on the parking sensors, one of the mechanics came out of the work shop and advised me there was nothing stored in the faults side of the car computer. I replied “and”? to which the chap said well there’s one sensor thats recording something near the car, around six inches away. My reply then was “well is there something six inches away from the car?” “no” he replied. Now to me it become pretty obvious that there was a fault with that sensor, however our survey said NO FAULT CODE NO FAULT. Unbelievable.
Now i had tried to liaise with Hendys to draw the matter to a close, the above points are merely a flavour of whats happened not the full story, however Hendys dont seem to want to talk, so its off to Court now.
Proceedings have been issued and i am now waiting for notice that the Claim has been issued.
