Sadly i am a customer of @TSB bank and sadly for the last 4 days TSB have been working their socks off it seems to make an utter mess of their systems, and their customers lives. The seem to have succeeded with both counts.
I have been trying to get online to move funds around, to keep track of my funds in my account and monitor my outgoings etc. i cannot get the info i need from the local ATM, my local branch of TSB is miles away, and therefore i need to use their online banking.
On Friday 20th April 208 i logged onto the online banking and noted a little note saying that the bank would be doing an upgrade which would be done by sunday at 6pm. My car insurance was due, and i had funds being deposited into my account to cover this, i tried to pay my car insurance but it failed, this was at 10pm, i tried to log on and got nothing apart from gibberish. My son broke his wrist on saturday evening, i needed funds to get him some bits like Calpol and Calprofen, couldnt get them, so guess what its borrow from family members, how embarrassing.
Suffice to say, i couldnt renew my insurance on sunday either. I tried again on monday, no online banking, but i could at least pay my insurance but there was a sting in the tail. My premium was now £345 from £303. Guess who had to pay that one, yep me.
I try to use my debit card to pay something, its declined. I try to pay some money into my betting account to put a bet on, it fails so i have to use my back up credit card, and now i have to pay more bloody fees.
Wednesday i try to use online banking and well if you look at my twitter feed it tells it all
So theres a couple of them, anyway, does anyone reply? NOPE
So i call the bank, 13 hours, no answer, i get cut off, when i call the bank local branch i get a recorded message saying please call later. Its an utter shambles, im still none the wiser as to when this mess will be sorted, but one thing you can be sure of, this wont be the end of this matter not by a long way. When banks provide poor service, they are required to provide redress, the FOS will be investigating if they dont.
