Just as we prepare to leave 2013, thoughts turn to the year ahead and its potential.
There are a number of cases which are set to give hope to consumers and their lawyers, cases such as Durkin v DSG Retail (supreme Court) Grace and another v Blackhorse (Court of Appeal) and a number of County Court decisions too in the field of consumer credit law.
We are also awaiting the handing down of a landmark judgment, i am unable to talk about the case at this stage, but once the judgment is available and handed down then i will post the facts here.
There are also a number of applications in the new year which have been made relying on the Mitchell v News Group News papers ruling to strike out opponents claims for blatant non compliance with the CPR and a wilful refusal to allow inspection of documents in accordance with the CPR.
2014 looks like its going to be very very interesting
